Sometimes progress doesn't feel like progress.

Every wave seems determined to push you back. The boat keeps bouncing. Everything gets wet. For a moment, turning around almost seems like the easier option.

Experienced skippers know that every wave deserves their attention. But they never lose sight of the bigger picture and that is getting safely through the surf. Because they know that beyond the breakers calmer waters usually await.

It's true on the Atlantic coast... and just as true in business.

Let's just say that turning back won't bring home today's catch. So onwards we go — fishing gear, picnic basket and all.

My furry companion has his priorities straight : the picnic basket stays on board. At all costs. And honestly, who could blame him? 😄
